Climate Debate at American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting

Communicating Climate Change, NASA Blog, Patrick Lynch - NASA's Earth Science News Team

"Rigor. Not rigor mortis.

Those are two basic tenets of talking to the public about global warming, offered by Mark Serreze, director of the National Snow and Ice Data Center. He spoke at a Thursday morning session on "communicating climate" at the American Geophysical Union's fall meeting in San Francisco."

I know, I know, but I'm going to say it again...this crap belongs under the auspices of NOAA, not NASA.

Release ALL of the data used by James Hansen for ALL of his climate predictions. This president campaigned on transparency. If all he does it repeat the rhetoric of "the science is settled" all while people who report to him (directly or indirectly) sit on data that could be used for truly independent verification, then clearly he is not meeting his promise of transparency.

There can be no argument that if they actually DO believe their science is airtight, then there should be absolutely NO hesitation to release the data... unless they somehow massaged it in a way that could be seen as anti-science. This IS about NASA Keith... have the guts to post it, unless you think only you have the right to criticize their methods of "doing science".

What data exactly do you think has not been released?
