    Neil is certainly a true All American Hero, and over the last few days I’ve heard the word “hero” many times to the point where it felt awkward, only because I had not heard it appropriately used for quite sometime. It seems there were many more American heroes a few years back than there are now. I like hearing the word hero when properly applied. Thanks Neil.

      I think Mr Armstrong would disagree about being called hero, for him it was a job. Nevertheless he is and always will be one the most important human beings in history of this civilization.

    I agree, they were all heroes, They all knew that their missions are basically suicides with the greatest hope that that part of the mission would fail. My comment was aimed at Armstrong’s personality. He understood the significance of his accomplishment and took all the accolades in his usual humble manner. And he did not like to be called a hero.
