Doesn’t seem like this program is going anywhere. I thought baseline configuration was already established last year. The news that I keep hearing is always around the ever changing configuration.

I think this is just that the baseline configuration that Boeing developed was confirmed under the new CiCAP agreement.  It was listed as a milestone and the funding is released as the participants meet the milestones.

Baseline config was established years ago. But Boeing has never released the config details. They released some details now because the govt demanded it in return for a payment. This program is likely to have Boeing people in orbit before any of their competitors. CST meets all of the original requirements for Orion, that Orion can no longer meet.

What are they and why does Orion no longer meet them? I’m curious.

Loftable by medium EELV. Getting back to the “OSP” Orion.
