“There is a singular opportunity to propose limited, short-term investigations examining the differences in genetic, proteomic, metabolomics, and related functions in twin male monozygous astronauts associated with differential exposure to spaceflight conditions. This opportunity has emerged from NASA’s decision to fly veteran NASA astronaut Scott Kelly aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for a period of one year commencing in March 2015, while his identical twin brother, retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly, remains on Earth. Scott Kelly, a veteran of two Space Shuttle flights as well as a six-month ISS mission, will have a cumulative duration of 540 days in low Earth orbit at the conclusion of the one-year flight, while Mark Kelly, a veteran of four Space Shuttle flights, has a cumulative duration of 54 days in low Earth orbit. This opportunity originated at the initiative of the twin astronauts themselves.”

OK…we send one of them on a trip at near the speed of light, and the other one stays back home…
After this they can send Scott on a stellar round trip at near-light speed as a definitive test of the twin paradox! But seriously what a unique opportunity for research, and agreed the brothers should be commended for coming up with this idea.
They have shown commendable personal initiative in supporting the space program. The main conclusion I can see is that the differences are minimal and despite the alarmism one still hears, the effect of spaceflight for a year or more is modest, can be tolerated with practical countermeasures, and does not require artificial gravity.
See if it is reasonable to consider a telepathic link between the two at great distances. Determine if there is any subliminal communication occurring between one in orbit and one on the ground.
Well done! Try to detect radiation effects somehow and compare. Of course bone loss and recovery. I’m sure there are tons more.
You do realize that NASA is the just the front man for a
thousand corporations constantly fishing for new and
lucrative uses for their tired old inbred technologies?
You should know that the people at Microsoft, Kodak,
IBM, Corning Hewlett Packard, Xerox, Merrill Lynch and
nearly every large corporation, and NASA, will steal a
billion dollar development idea with the same parasitic
disdain that your punk a$$ neighbor borrows a screw
driver, and won’t give it back. AND NASA scientists
and engineers regularly stalk the corporate world
on sabbatical to poison and drug civilians for their own
profit and pleasure.
If they offer to interview you about your ideas, you make them
meet you on your turf, some place you Know the air, the
food and water is safe and cannot be poisoned.. If you meet
on their turf, they’ll have you so high so fast you’ll give up your
grandmother. Oh, they love nothing more than to use smooth
talkers, fancy titles and pretty, even famous faces to lure you
into a false sense of security, then they pounce like sharks to
strip the very cells out of your brain.
Do you think any of the people who worked with Edward
Snowden knew who he Really was? Do you Really think
NASA engineers Advertise they are Doctor Cheung from
NASA, out on sabbatical to steal any stray technology they
can latch their suckers to? They’ll just be plain old Ed, some
lowly anonymous test tech. Just another of a million science
janitors you wouldn’t know from Adam, unless you saw their
pay check. That’s why you hear them and their co-conspirators
laughing on the phone and behind closed doors, and nobody
will let you in on the joke.
If seduction doesn’t work, they have no problem with resorting
to clandestine narcotics, aerosols and magic markers to drug
you into giving them what they want, which is a new idea to keep
their reputations for genius fresh, and their scientific grist mill
churning. It won’t be until years later; when your development has
been assimilated into their moronic mass of misunderstood,
misapplied and misappropriated oligarchical amalgamation of
designs, that you discover who they Really were, and what they
Really did. Then you will be marked for life and passed around
from one low tech job to another like a contract corporate whore
to be surreptitiously poisoned and drugged while they pick your
brain and rob you at every corporate stop.
That is why their Space Shuttles couldn’t fly, their Space
Telescope couldn’t see, and their Mars Probes couldn’t
land. Because NASA and their parasite contract corporations
didn’t invent them, their science or their technologies. That
nine headed hydra known as NASA only stole those
technologies and inventions, and only had a rudimentary,
pedestrian understanding of their functions and operation when
they put astronauts’ lives at risk, putting them into service.
Don’t fall for it. Save your ideas until you can afford to develop
them yourselves.
Isn’t it time the Uhmerican people realized that the Uhmerican
government is just a cabal of thieves employed to steal
everything they can get their hands on for the rich people who
own it?
