    Adding another segment to the shuttle boosters was a bad idea. They’ve increased the risk of failure and again you have two booster systems to manage rather than one. SpaceX’s approach aimed at redundancy, common components and re-usability is far more sensible.

    What a joke. This is not the largest, most powerful rocket booster ever built. That title goes to the SL-1/SL-2/SL-3 tests in the mid and late ’60’s. Though they never “flew”, neither have the SLS boosters.

    Who is kidding who. This is all hype and hyperbole and nothing about fact and reality. Funny how “reality control” and SPIN takes over in the face of actual facts.
