I guess her family is freaking out and put pressure and guilt on her to not go through with the flight after the latest Soyuz mission crashed back to earth in a blaze of fire…

My guess as well, but I wasn’t sure how to word this so it didn’t sound like I was slamming the Russians. There will always be a certain amount of risk in manned spaceflight, but the level of risk which is acceptable definitely varies.

I wonder if that has anything to do with a soyuz rocket and a soyuz spacecraft variant spinning out of control for a few weeks and then burning up?

Or maybe the fact that the Russians are delaying both the return from the ISS on a soyuz and the launch of a new crew on a soyuz?

Just like after the VG crash celebrities may be learning these are not thrill toys.

Yes, that must be it. Her explanation that there is a family matter to which she needs to attend must be a lie. Yeah, that must be it.

We should just say that Sarah is indisposed and leave it at that.

That’s why they call it STEM and not STEAM. Oh, wait…
