I suppose someone beyond his father has to love him…
and a fair number of Texans, apparently.
When is soon-to-be President Trump going to visit?
That’s a completely misleading headline. Nothing in the tweet suggests “love”, simply common courtesy. One could dislike the politician and send an identical tweet.
Its luv.
It goes way beyond “courtesy”. There’s no way Cruz sent his “entire staff” to JSC. NASA leg affairs needs to be more careful when sucking up publicly like this, especially during campaign season. They risk a Hatch Act investigation.
How is this even close to a Hatch Act violation? “Sucking up” to a political candidate is not the same as campaigning for them. If you are basing your accusations on the above tweet, all I see is that the legislative affairs person is addressing Senator Cruz and thanking him and his staff for visiting the facility that is in Cruz’s state. It does not mention his campaign for president or even re-election for the senate, much less endorsing either. Were you this upset when John Kerry went to Kennedy and received a very in-depth tour of a shuttle? If that was not a Hatch violation (except for streaming some of the event to NASA employees), then how can this be?
A more relevant question might be “what were they doing there?”. Looking for evidence of work being done on climate change?
I will simply ask when was the last time Senator Shelby sent his entire staff to MSFC or Nelson to KSC or those two old men from Mississippi to Stennis?
Just asking questions.
I have no problem with ripping politician X for not having your point of view – however – anytime you can get ANY sitting senator to send his entire entourage to a NASA center it should be applauded.
There’s no way Cruz sent his “entire staff” — Senate, home office in Texas, and presidential campaign — to JSC. It’s political sucking up by NASA leg affairs that probably treads close to a Hatch Act violation. They should know better, especially during campaign season.
When it comes to Luv, Ted Cruz and his staff don’t hold a candle to what Barbara Mikulski/GSFC or Richard Shelby/MSFC do.
