Odd Street Protest at NASA HQ Today

Keith’s revised note: Looks like some people from the Westboro Baptist Church decided to protest at NASA HQ today against the agency’s work to prevent asteroids from destroying Earth. These are the same disturbed people who picket funerals for military personnel killed in action. FWIW counter protesters were holding up a sign saying “God Loves Uranus”. I’m sure that he does.

“God loves Uranus” was the counter-protestors. They were protesting that the Westboro Baptist Church was protesting that NASA was foolishly attempting to interfere with G_d’s plan to destroy the Earth with asteroids. “Uranus” was a reference to the usual WBC protests against gay people, since, apparently, “Uranus” reminds everyone of asteroids, which are very uncomfortable and usually found near the anus. I hope that was clear.

WBC “…protesting that NASA was foolishly attempting to interfere with G_d’s plan…”

Pffft! As if God, by def’n: THE Supreme Being, can be thwarted by earthlings wandering around doing stupid, as they are apt to do (even lob rockets at asteroids)…. unless THEY (the “glooooorious” WBC) steps in. News flash, Westies, God doesn’t need “help” from anyone on this little 3rd rock, let alone a bunch of arrogant nasty vicious self-righteous howlers waving crude signs on sticks (and by their actions are the real fools).

These people are horrible. They call themselves a “Baptist” church but every Baptist denomination, including the one I am a part of, has rightfully denounced them.

They protested a military funeral in my hometown a couple of years ago. My family and I were part of the counter protest that endeavored to shield the fallen soldier’s family from these monsters. They make me sick.

These people should be classified as religious fundamentalists and domestic terrorists – FUNDATERRORISTS. Their ultimate goal is to hasten the end of the world and arrival of “the savior” – judgement day.

They’re very curious people. I wonder if it occurred to them that, if a ELE was the Divine will, no human effort could possibly stop it? I doubt it; that would require actual thought.
