Couldn’t help yourself, Keith?
Disgusting journalism. Signs of desperation from the Globe.
It’s opinion. And informed opinion is extrapolated from what is currently known.
Are political comments allowed on this one? Heh 🙂
Op-Ed and satire belong on the Op-Ed page. The Boston Globe jumped the shark on this one by trying to be The Onion. For this very reason, I don’t know anyone who even wraps their fish in hardcopy newsprint anymore, much less, you know, reads it.
Gold leaf trim….. hmmm? IIRC, a lot of our probes and even the Apollo LMs made liberal use of gold foil (not in a political way); the stuff works best in reflecting infrared heat. And for the job it had to do (insulate but not add weight), it did it very, very, well, and despite the “g-word” it was not that expensive.
However I never heard of there being any communications issues with the stuff… 😉
link goes to some typically-indignant pot-calling-the-kettle-black histrionics. Thanks a whole bunch for sharing, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
