Well let’s here what Musk has to say….I’m hoping for a Kennedy type moment….and hoping someone will carry the webcast live
We’ll be broadcasting the event live on SpaceRef with a link on NASA Watch.
Yes…there is a God. Lol
Intellectual Honesty here:
You cannot blame Chuck Bolden for this. You really cannot blame NASA as an entity for the lethargic progress made over the last eight years. Sit down now, as a conservative Republican, sorry, you cannot blame President Obama for the craptastic performance.
The real problem in why NASA cannot get… “stuff” done resides at 304 Russell and 716 Hart. Honorable mentions to 503 Hart, 2373 Rayburn, 1641 Longworth, and 120 Cannon.
While congressional funding is required it is so blatantly obvious when you have senators and congressmen playing rocket scientist… welp, this is what you get. Both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate and House are to blame.
But don’t worry MSFC – the SLS slush is coming down stream… for a few more years anyways.
At the risk of starting an unintended political discussion, a small correction:
I followed your argument, but must point out that you have assumed a false equivalency. Congress is ruled, mostly, by ‘starve-the-beast’ Republicans; Republicans who insist on the Hastert Rule; Republicans for whom the word ‘compromise’ is naughty. Some think this a good thing, others not, but it is a fact.
Otherwise, spot on.
Wrong – SLS was created when Democrats controlled the Senate.
Since Republicans took control of the senate this only empowered Shelby more and Mikulski was more than happy to oblige as long as she got JWST funding.
And frankly we shouldn’t be allowing the Senate to control NASA like it is, but we are, and so we get this.
