Waiting For Bridenstine
h/t @LorenGrush
I asked Jim Bridenstine when Trump is going to get around to making him NASA administrator. He hasn't heard from them in a month. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For the sake of argument, however unlikely-though-increasingly-likely, that the Trump admin collapses, perhaps the smart move for NASA in the long run is to avoid association with his admin as much as possible, since whomever picks up the pieces will undoubtedly reverse what Trump sets in place anyway, likely with extreme prejudice.
The replacement, if the Republic Congress does an impeachment, would be Vice President Pence. Its questionable he would reverse anything in regards to NASA.
I doubt Mr. Trump will be impeached, but he won’t be in office forever. Politics have become very divisive, to the point where a president’s programs can be attacked by the other side, not because they are bad idea but simply because they are associated with him. Maybe it’s better if Mr. Trump does not take any interest in space. If he does, the next Democratic majority in Congress might obstruct it, or the next Democratic President cancel it, just because it is tainted by association.
The best strategy for NASA is to avoid politicization, to the extent that it is possible. The colleciton of climate data can hopefully be defended as the gathering of accurate scientific information for use by all Americans without regard to political influence.
the white house seems rather busy lately with all the scandals breaking out.
Yes, the snakes and gators are really fighting back against the swamp being drained and compared to it NASA is just a simple mud hole.
LOL .. swamp being drained? trump didn’t even try to drain a swamp he just hired the swamp rats himself….
