Targeting Earth Science is reckless risk ($Ms vs $Ts) as the IPCC does not include the greatest uncertainty: rapid melting of ice sheets and glaciers which would reshape the coasts.
The infographic showing Emissions vs year, past and present, and the temperature increase from the global carbon budget needs to be distributed and tracked by the world for generations (slide 9).
While scientists continue to reduce the uncertainty with careful data collection and new methods, engineers and business community need to continuously implement new, cost effective technology for today’s and future generations creating jobs. Support a carbon tax today.
So, here’s Keith, famous, it nearly seems…after decades, deserved recognition accruing, the payoff for ceaseless attention to a passionate mission.
Find something you love and do it, mama always said; the world will beat a path to your door. While she was right, she also left out the long years of silent drudgery.
