    Not quite running a full pressure, and the mixture is a little rich, but a staged combustion LOX methane test is a great accomplishment.

      I believe it’s a first in the US. Aerojet Rocketdyne has been talking about staged combustion LOX rich engines ever since the RD-180 bought for Atlas proved it was possible beyond a shadow of a doubt.

      Nice-looking shock diamonds for what little view I got. Best of luck, Blue Origin. BTW, this does NOT spell the “doom” of AJR. There is plenty of room for different types of engines.
      I am NOT a “rocket scientist”! I’m a retired “acid-on-the-hands rocket ENGINEER”! 😀
