    Another Freebie for the Furloughed, for those with automotive interests, is free admission at the Simone museum in Philadelphia ( https://www.simeonemuseum.org/ ). Bring up to three guests, and your Govt ID.

      Both gestures are to be appreciated; here’s someone giving in the only way available to him.

      Were I nervous about the mortgage I am pretty sure a museum would be insufficiently distracting.

        There are a number of stories like this, and not just in the United States. Canadian air traffic controllers have been ordering a large number of pizzas delivered to their colleagues south of the border (or west; I think it started with the ATCs in Yellowknife, for those in Anchorage.)
