One thing we need to recognize is just as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, humanity’s biological security in this global age is dependent on ensuring secured food chains worldwide. HIV, SARS, Ebola and, based on current theories, CORVID-19 made the jump from wildlife to humans via humans living in poverty eating wild animals. Nations need to end poverty globally and ensure safe food supplies for everyone. But I don’t really expect that will be on the global agenda when this pandemic is over.
