Is anyone keeping track of what the accomplishments or failures of this forum are? How productive are they? How are they showing their worth to the space program? How are they proving actual benefit to the space program? Only time and close tracking of all the details will show this (something seemingly rarely done in government programs). I sure hope someone is doing this in a new way and with frequently published results showing progress or lack there of because Ive seen nothing yet proving any worth (7 meetings). Otherwise, we might not have a space program in less than a couple decades (pessimistic prognostication using about 10 variables).

That’s not what I am seeing since each meeting of the space council on different subjects policy has actually happening , we have seen a shift back to proper exploration with Artimis , and have seen regulations to help commercial space and finally the US now has a Space Force . with out a space council US space policy was a drift for almost 30 years that’s not the case now.

But to be valid the study would have to compare it to previous space councils and the periods when there were no space councils. Since all the data needed is in the public anyone could do it. But when doing it remember that space is more than merely NASA.
