This question was just asked at the @NASA#Artemis media event by a reporter
“Does Artemis have a camera?”
Really? After all the detailed discussions moments ago about imagery to be sent back you ask a question like this? DUH – how does @NASA get the pictures without a camera? pic.twitter.com/whiRcq86or
Now some guy just asks about #Artemis public engagement – Really do these “reporters” even listen to what the @NASA people say – there was a whole section on public engagement offered moments before the Q&A began. pic.twitter.com/Q08AJ4Zk6v
There is a pretty nice Artemis 1 Press Kit online and it says nothing about cameras or photography; nothing in what is carried on-board, nothing in experiments or technological tests and nothing in the overview of communications. So among the media who wish to have something to broadcast, its probably a worthwhile question; I suspect some people may have read the press kit and are only half listening to the press conference.
NASA PAO went through the imaging and outreach in great detail mere moments before these 2 guys asked questions. Either they were not listening or do not understand all the words – either way it was not NASA’s fault.
It used to be said in broad strokes that those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach. Where exactly do reporters of this caliber land on the spectrum?

If what you suggest in your last sentence is true then they are not doing their job.
