And it will require faith. Faith in the boundless capacity of American ingenuity and the ingenuity and cooperation of freedom-loving nations around the world. Faith in the extraordinary courage of the men and women who, even now, train and prepare to move the boundary lines of human knowledge. Apparently Trump is considering a government shutdown in November to fight impeachment. If that happens, you can kiss the 2024 lunar landing date goodbye (as if anyone took it seriously anyway).
Elon Musk is taking it seriously and will have NASA’s ride ready to go by then.

That man has an epic speech writer. I don’t know who it is, but they do a great job.
Except for two or three phrases & words, I could not tell he was speaking about Space. To me, it sounds like a preacher in church.

And we will do it WITHOUT presenting a plan OR a budget!
I think you are barking on the wrong tree here, Vlad. SLS/ Orion, ISS, and Gateway are the official NASA programs of record. Should the Administrator take any path other than move these programs forward in the best way that he can he would be subject to huge and proper criticism.
On a related subject: recently Anthony Colangelo (MECO podcast) asked all of us to be grateful for Gateway, without which we’d have damn little in terms of human spaceflight: “at least” we have that, which is one way to look at things. How far we have come.
