It seems like it wasn’t all that long ago that we were debating about the boundary of the heliosphere and the existence and characteristics of the heliosheath. In this article it appears that these issues now have accepted answers. A mighty impressive accomplishment for a couple of probes launched in the 1970s. The Voyagers were part of “The Grand Tour” planetary alignment opportunity. They couldn’t have picked a better name.
Tell Kirk that Vger now has the required information (Star Trek reference).
After all this time, it’s still only gone approx 1/800 of a light year…..
