As Chairman of the National Security, International Affairs, and Criminal Justice Subcommittee of the Government Reform and Oversight Committee, I will be holding the first of a series of oversight hearings on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration infrastructure “downsizing”. I am writing to invite you to testify before the Subcommittee at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 1996, in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.
The focus of this initial hearing will be a review of recent NASA initiatives for “downsizing” the agency infrastructure and progress being made in reducing facilities. Your testimony should include a discussion of the efforts made in the areas of aircraft consolidation, wide area network consolidation, super computer consolidation, center/facility consolidation and NASA/DoD cooperation.
Please have 125 copies of your testimony as well as one copy on computer disk delivered to room B0373 Rayburn House Office Building at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.
