Keith’s note: According to a media advisory sent out by the White House last week: “On Friday, September 9, 2022, Vice President Harris will chair the second National Space Council meeting at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) as well as tour JSC facilities.” Nothing but crickets since then – absolutely no public information as to what the VP and the people at this meeting will actually do – and no one seems to care. 10:06 PM EDT Update: The White House said something.

This is the strange way that this White House NASA PAO dribble details out about space policy, NSpC, etc. Some people get emails – but others do not – but NASA claims they are transparent. Still nothing on @NASA or NASA.gov

Earlier post: There is nothing mentioned on the White House National Space Council website. There is no mention at the NASA Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR) website or at NASA’s main website.

If you go to this week’s NASA TV schedule there is no mention of the NSpC meeting. No NASA PAO media advisory or press release has been issued. Nothing has been posted in the Federal Register.

There is no known agenda, speakers list. Nothing. Yet invitations are being sent out to people of influence and some media celebrities to attend.

So … how is it that the National Space Council actually does anything? The public has no clue whatsoever as to what is going on. Oh yes – has anyone heard anything about the National Space Council Users Advisory Group?
