The Epic Struggle Between Birds and Pigs Moves to Space with a NASA Science Twist
“For nearly three years, millions of gamers have used physics in the battle between birds and pigs in the video game Angry Birds. In cooperation with NASA, Finland-based Rovio Entertainment, creator of the Angry Birds franchise, announced its newest game, “Angry Birds Space,” on Thursday, March 8. NASA and Rovio are working together to teach people about physics and space exploration through the internationally successful puzzle game.”
Keith’s note: I, for one, welcome our new angry avian overlords.

Launching Angry Red Bird on ISS was brilliant.  While I am sure this really put some scientists in a pickle over “best uses of time ” of an ISS scientist on orbit, the marketing of this was brilliant.

Who ever at NASA decided to approve this should be commended.

I don’t like angry birds much. It’s a well written game and I’m sure the space version will be excellent, but I think folks spend too much time playing games like this, kids in particular should be spending their time doing creative activities, writing their own  games in Scratch or building models like the Apollo generation did. Lego is a better partner for NASA in this respect.
