Keith’s note: That’s it? One sentence? Not that I expected more about space (its never a hot theme in presidential cmapaigns) – but with the constant series of press releases coming out of the Obama campaign that go after Mitt Romney’s space policy (or lack thereof, so they claim), at least the Romney campaign and the RNC have platform used more words to discuss the issue.

Obama is just “spinning the wheels” on NASA and the space program.He offers nothing new while Romney is actually making a defined statement.There needs to be a change within NASA and I’m sure his proposals will be more defined once he’s elected. New reasonable goals need to be established that will inspire us all.

      You are a dreamer lolol  I’m not sure of anything nor would I assume anything.

      I do know Spacex is going to try to hop a grasshopper soon if not already and that is more important than what either party says or does if we are talking about space flight future.

    2.  you know what they say about assumptions.  You cannot assume people will make coherent proposals after they are elected because there is no pressure for them to.  They need to make the proposals before hand so we have a standard to have them live up to.

Commercial space is not  a new idea.  Administrations prior to the current one have laid the ground work for commercial space as we know it today.  In fact, Space X started as a company during the W. Bush administration, although while the President is quick to blame Bush it’s doubtful he’ll give credit to the Bush administration and its predecessors for their role in bringing commercial space to fruition.
