Keith’s note: Have a look at this conference at the International Conference – Space Technologies: Present and Future. It is being held in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine – the part of the country where all the fighting is going on. Rebellions and invasions aside, conference sponsorships are still available. This is not the part of the country where fighting is going on (having been there two weeks ago), and having attended this conference in recent years I can attest to the fact that it’s a very worthwhile event for those interested in a perspective other than the US and EU view of the space industry.
It may not be immediately adjacent to the fighting but who knows where the front will be by May? Additionally, since the Malaysan airliner was shot down, the FAA issued a statement prohibiting United States operators from flying within the Simferopol and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
