  1. It’s a bit late to offer a comment, I know. I’m not sure how I feel about this issue.

    People change jobs all the time, right? Hoping each time to make a bit more money, or to gain a higher level of responsibility? This isn’t a bad thing. So far, so good. The objections that I hear are something like this: “connections” and expertise gained at government expense are used to advantage by a single private sector company.

    This happens all the time in the private sector; a person gains incremental industry experience which is used on behalf of her current employer.

    Ms. Kavandi’s actions actions feel a little…well, wrong; not exactly the right word, but something a bit smarmy, and I at the same time can’t explain why I feel that way. Nor can I defend why I feel that way.
