“NASA was notified Thursday that the U.S. Court of Federal Claims denied Blue Origin’s bid protest, upholding NASA’s selection of SpaceX to develop and demonstrate a modern human lunar lander. NASA will resume work with SpaceX under the Option A contract as soon as possible.”

  1. Now we just need for the FAA to give orbital flight approval for Boca chica and we can put all this bureaucracy and lawsuits in the rear view mirror. Boots on the moon in three years let’s go!

    1. Not sure what webcam you’ve been viewing, but I’ve seen a heck of a lot of ‘real work’ being done for some time now.

  3. That’s that. I suppose SpaceX can start working on lunar Starship again . . . assuming they don’t get slapped with a full EIS requirement for Boca Chica.

    1. That (a full EIS) didn’t seem to be the FAA’s inclination from the preliminary materials that I saw.

    2. Did they really stop working or just stop working with NASA during the protest period?

      1. They had to stop working specifically on the lunar Starship variant, assuming they’d done much work to begin with (probably not).

        1. they could have kept working on their own dime given lunar starship probably plays into their dear moon variant

        2. They scrapped the HLS mockup, likely to start work on a higher fidelity version now that NASA HLS is returning.
