The NASA pride items in the gift shops were extremely popular. I wish I’d bought more when we had the chance.
The pride shirts were popular, but no way was NASA ever a pride-friendly workplace. I am a previous employee and hetero who bought and wore pride shirts to work as an ally. NASA has been socially conservative for decades (probably always), the ignorance is just celebrated now instead of masked. Let’s not pretend that it is the new admin only that dismisses pride month. Being on the inside made me sad about NASA’s hidden social identity.
