RSC Welcomes NASA Administrator Isaacman: Moon, Mars, and America’s Golden Age of Space
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican Study Committee (RSC) welcomed National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Administrator Jared Isaacman to Capitol Hill as Congress and the Trump Administration work together to rebuild American leadership in space.
Administrator Isaacman updated members on NASA’s plans to return astronauts to the Moon through the Artemis program and ensure the U.S. defeats China in the new space race. He also detailed the agency’s efforts to establish a sustained lunar presence, develop nuclear-powered space capabilities, and prepare crewed missions to Mars.
With resources provided through the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, NASA is positioned to advance a bold vision for the future. The RSC remains committed to advancing NASA’s goal to preserve American superiority in space and expand the frontiers of scientific discovery.
“Good discussion with members of the Republican Study Committee about America’s future in space. We are in a real competition, and the stakes are enormous,” said NASA Administrator Isaacman. “As we prepare for Artemis III, build the Moon Base, get America underway on nuclear power in space, and look toward Mars, sustained American leadership will require flexibility, extreme focus on the mission, urgency, and contributions from across government, industry, and the international community. We are going back.”
