Keith’s note: Rich Cooper has posted a poignant remembrance of 9-11 and his personal and NASA connections to that day:
“Several weeks ago as part of a separate writing project (Full Circle: A Journey of Flags, Heroes, Remembrance, and Friendship), I ventured into my basement and pulled out some of my old notebooks and files from my time working at NASA. One of those notebooks was a daily chronicle of everything happening in my job. I was looking for notes and details related to the September 11th attacks and the months that followed. In doing so, I discovered an old file folder aptly titled, “September 11,” and to my surprise found a more formal account of my memories and reflections that I had forgotten I had written.”
