  1. This is an entirely appropriate tribute to Paul Spudis — who did so much to lead world-thinking about the exploration and use of the Moon’s resources for the benefit of humanity. This ‘diamond-shaped’ feature (which is a permanently shadowed region, PSR) figures prominently in ongoing studies now being conducted by the Moon Village Association architecture working group (which I co-chair). All references will of course be changed to refer to the feature by its new name — ‘Spudis’ — starting with a paper at the upcoming IAC 2021!
