Keith’s note: NASA just added its 71st signatory to the international Artemis Accords Meanwhile, according to Politico, the U.S. is not exactly acting all that ‘international’ spacewise: “An official within the White House’s office of science and technology policy told several companies, including SpaceX, Stoke Space, K2 Space and Astra, on a private call Thursday that attending the two-day summit at Paris’ Grand Palais could look like tacit support for EU policy positions, according to two industry representatives and a congressional staffer familiar with the call.”
Meanwhile this is what the event is ostensibly about: The International Space Summit: coming together to take action for the planet: “On September 9 and 10, 2026, Paris is aiming for the stars by hosting the first International Space Summit. It will bring together nearly 120 foreign delegations, at the invitation of the President of the French Republic and his Special Envoys, astronaut Thomas Pesquet and business leader Hélène Huby.”
