Hard to imagine anything more appropriate: 1 crazy person advising another crazy person.

Mission to Mars is gonna be HUGE. 😉

Oh, and why the jab at Buzz? Does the internet mean one gets to say anything… even here? Crazy is such a leaded word. Sigh.

Well, if you do not support going to Mars {fill in the blank} would you not call the other person ‘crazy’ 😉

So is Mars really going to be HUGE? or is this micro marketing?
o giving advice or an adviser? Big difference in “Huge”
o or is “rebuild the infrastructure first. Ok”. Anti-Huge?

So where would a real estate developer want to spend $–on earth or space infrastructure for a short term ROI?

“Creating advertising campaigns for the benefit of very specific geographic or demographic segments of the consumer market.”

Buzz is a qualified space expert; I don’t have any issues with this. That being said, I can’t stand Trump.

Please show one example of any idea or plan Buzz has had in the last 20 years that has come to fruition. And appearing on Dancing with the Stars doesn’t count.

He doesn’t have the authority or budget to do anything. Get him as the head of NASA, and then his ideas become way more important.

My opinion of Buzz has taken a dive.

You mean it was high before this recent revelation?

Buzz has had his troubles but I was moderately happy before. He did support President Obama’s ill conceived changes in the Constellation program but so did Charlie Bolden.

    I can just hear Trump
Well I had a long talk with Buzz Aldren and I assured him I will get the pothole in front of his house filled

Good, it is encouraging to read that candidates are actually looking to family or friends of our little Agency for advice on space policy. Get over the “no one cares for little-budget us” blues, and focus positive 😉

How does that saying go?……. Ah ….yes…. two peas in a pod

Haven’t seen this confirmed anywhere, but it’s hard to see how it would be bad news if true. First, perhaps Buzz can convince The Donald to divert a bit of scratch from the potholes account to doing useful work in space. Second, it would be encouraging to know that The Donald is actually capable of taking advice from anyone. There’s not much evidence for this ever having occurred before.

I’m not going to lie, I’d vote for Trump if it meant an actual manned space program to mars.
Maybe that makes me one of those dreaded single issue voters, but it’s a pretty big issue.

Yes, it does make you one of those dreaded single issue voters. There are so many more substantial resins to dread Drumpf in office that it doesn’t matter what he feels about space.

Space is the future. It’s what is going the matter the most to the longevity of the species.

There is no sense in backing the most qualified of candidates if they have no visions for the future. If Trumps got the space plan then I can be his black voter, because my single issue is Kind of a big deal.

His opponents are debating how best to avoid telling people they all agreed on deporting immigrants and starting a bunch of new wars. You can listen to that banter if it suits you.
The most elegant apologist will likely win but it doesn’t change anything. No ones going to care about any of it in the long run.
People will care a lot more about the advancements in science and exploration that we initiate now, and It’s deafening how little is said about those things.

We spent a week talking about hand sizes. Critical political banter that was.

What makes you think Drumpf has a space plan? Because Buzz whispered in his ear? He doesn’t have plans for any of his other absurd positions. He’s all insults and blather. His real motto is Make Anerica White again, which makes it even sadder that he’s currently ahead. It will be a cold day in Hell before he becomes an apologist for any of his horrible positions and statements. People may care about advances in science and exploration, but that’s no where on the agenda of Trumpf.
