    Interesting. Dr. Gerstenmaier talked about creating a single set of standards that will enable an open architecture that will enable firms, and nations, that are not part of the original procurement to join in later.

    Interesting presentation, lots of specific mentions of lunar systems with very little mention of Mars (that planet was mentioned briefly). It was interesting to hear why the five year plan (because wait too long will have different political priorities and elected people). Overall it seemed ok but like many older guys I’m skeptical. I wonder how that additional funding will be accepted by a Democrat congress which Trump has made a lot of enemies with. Also this same time we have a build up to prepare for war with Iran. James Webb arranged the moon program such that the Vietnam War did not derail Apollo.
