NASA OIG Report: Bo Jiang’s Access to NASA’s Langley Research Center
“On March 16, 2013, agents from the Department of Homeland Security conducted a border search of former NASA contractor Bo Jiang at Dulles International Airport as part of an investigation of potential export control violations. Jiang, a citizen of the Peoples Republic of China, was preparing to fly home to China. After questioning him about what electronic media he had in his possession and searching his belongings, agents took Jiang into custody and charged him with making a false statement to Federal authorities.”

The actions that need investigation are the actions of the anti-Chinese crusader Frank Wolf, and NASA’s willingness to see a hard-working researcher imprisoned, interrogated, and hounded him out of the country simply because he is Chinese. What motivated the accusation? If it was motivated by honest concern why was the source kept secret? Would someone of a different national origin have been arrested and held in prison for exactly the same actions? Would exactly the same accusation, from someone other than the Republican Congressman who controls the NASA budget, have precipitated the same events? The coincidence of Wolf’s anti-Chinese bias and Jiang’s nationality is to great to be believed.
If the OIG refuses to explain how and why this happened it will have abandoned its own credibility.
