It didn’t kick up very much dust while landing! That ought to please the LADEE team.
Even now I wonder how many Americans really understand why the Chinese are landing on the moon, or for that matter why we did it so many years ago.

That is an excellent video.
I was shocked when it hovered and I realised how close it was to the ground; to my untrained eye the Moon looks the same from 5 meters as 5000. Like a fractal; craters upon craters upon craters.
Reminds me of the ESA’s Titan lander. I’ll link that video here in case anyone hasn’t seen it. The camera was a lot more primitive and the conditions a lot rougher (spinning, wobbling) but some fine folks built something like a whole image video from it.
