NASAWatch on TV: NS-31

Blue Origin squishy
NASAWatch
Keith’s note: Apparently the crew of the Blue Origin NS-31 suborbital flight had a great time today. I did live launch/landing coverage on Bloomberg radio/YouTube and then did an interview on Deutsche Welle TV [audio].Video below Every now and then some of that space conference swag comes in useful as a prop when you need to illustrate some rocket science. In this case the squishy Blue Origin capsule.

You know, with NASA and NOAA (not to mention the NIH, CDC, and others) being torn to shreds, with people being yanked off the streets and deported with no due process, and lord know what else this administration is doing to destroy the US as we know it, I find myself agreeing with the following remarks by actress/model Emily Ratajkowski:
“That space mission this morning? That’s end times s–t. Like, this is beyond parody. That you care about Mother Earth and it’s about Mother Earth, and you’re going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that’s singlehandedly destroying the planet?”
Stunts (yes, that what it was, a stunt) like this being pulled when we’re turning into a totalitarian state truly makes it feel like we’re in “end times s-t.”
