Keith’s note: The President only found out about this “prior associations” issue (whatever that is) with regard to Jared Isaacman months after his nomination, a lengthy confirmation process, with a Senate vote on the calendar for this week. Just sayin’

Isaacman handled this situation with class and dignity. This post from POTUS is disgusting and reads like it was written by a third grader. “Thank you for your attention to this matter!” <– what does this even mean??
Jared is a class act. This is a huge loss for NASA.
Everyone I talk to thinks there is some other reason behind this, and it’s got nothing to do with prior associations or vetting (including Democrat and DEI associations he had that were already known). Perhaps this is Trump’s way of distancing himself from Musk, since Jared was recommended by Musk and they have a mutual respect. It’s a pity because Jared was a great choice for the job and Trump is shooting NASA/USA in the foot.
Trying to rationalize the decisions of this administration is perilous at best. Lets be honest. Most of us where OK with Isaacman because he is not a flat earther. In truth , he would have a hard time finding a summer internship at GSFC. He would not pass muster in my group. You all know I am right.

So Isaacman out and per an earlier nasawatch post, the new NASA Chief of Staff (Brian Hughes) is a guy with zero space or technology experience, nor any federal administrative experience, but basically a local Florida GOP political hack whose X posts are all rah rah MAGA stuff. My condolences to all the NASA people
