Why Is NASA Silent About Russia And ISS Talks?

International Space Station
Keith’s note: While Russian media continues to post news stories, not a single world from NASA or Sean Duffy. So much for transparency. Or is the Administration up to something that prompts the Russians to say nice things? See “Russia and U.S. Agree to Extend International Space Station Operations to 2028“ in The Moscow Times.

So, these two transportation ministers met and agreed upon present ISS plans of operations reaffirming continued interest in ongoing partnership with building future International space stations in low earth orbit.
We have only heard one side of this. For NASA to remain mute on this speaks volumes. Normally they are very chatty about any international space event that they are a party to.
The Russians have been talking of new ‘Russian’ missions and spacecraft for about the last 50 years. But their program has no money for new rocket ships or space stations so I have no doubt they will continue to fly on ISS for as long as ISS is there. Of course the US government and especially NASA does not have more money for for a new spaceship or space station either so they’d best keep ISS for as long as there is a use for it.
If anyone is concerned about Russian modules with leaks then perhaps they’d best come up with a new module to replace the Russian module’s functions, like propulsion.
As long as the talks and intentions are good what does it matter?
Just because Russia’s government started a war with Ukraine doesn’t mean we have to treat their citizens poorly. A lot of their citizens dont support the war and have to keep silent about that.
No one knows what the intentions are since no one at NASA Is talking about them.
