NASAWatch on TV: Polaris Dawn
NASAWatch on TV: Polaris Dawn

Keith’s note: I was on BBC World News [Audio], Deutsche Welle [Audio], and CGTN [Audio] talking about the Polaris Dawn EVA. During my BBC and DW interviews I compared and contrasted spacewalks in the 1960s and today as well as NASA spacesuits and new commercial space suits. I used one of those spongy astronaut things NASA gives away at meetings but I added a USB-C cable to demonstrate the tether used by the Polaris crew. If you are of a certain age and watched Gemini astronauts doing EVAs live on TV, then you may recognize the orange-visored helmet that my little astronaut is wearing. Update: After the return of Polaris Dawn I spoke with Deutsche Welle Sunday morning [Audio] and then again in the evening [Audio]. I also spoke with Alhurra [Audio] (videos below)

Talking About Euclid’s Stellar Cartography On BBC World Service
Talking About Euclid’s Stellar Cartography On BBC World Service

Keith’s note: I just did an interview on BBC World Service’s program “Outside Source” a few minutes ago about the stunning new imagery from Euclid. I used the stellar cartography scene from “Star Trek Generations” as my illustrative image (on radio). They’ll be playing this during the day and posting it online to a weekly audience of 364+ million. I emphasized how this is the sort of mission that has applicability to everyone everywhere – scientist or non-scientist alike. Meanwhile here is my [Audio] of the interview. I’ll post the BBC’s link later.

SpaceRef on BBC World Service: ISS Astronauts And Bulldogs On Mars
SpaceRef on BBC World Service: ISS Astronauts And Bulldogs On Mars

Keith’s note: I was just on the BBC World Service talking about Frank Rubio’s new record on the ISS – and about the Moxie unit making oxygen on Mars. NASA’s press release about MOXIE
NASA says in its release that “MOXIE has generated a total of 122 grams of oxygen – about what a small dog breathes in 10 hours”. OK, so I am (was) an actual NASA space biologist once upon a time. As such I had a few opinions on this. Yes, I mentioned English bulldogs and suggested that they’d last a bit beyond 10 hours. I was on the BBC, so … [Audio]

Doing The Post-UAP Media Thing
Doing The Post-UAP Media Thing

Keith’s note: Last night I was on BBC 5 Live talking about the NASA UAP meeting (audio). This evening I was on Al Jazeera Arabic talking about the meeting and what it did – and did not say – about life in the universe, whether we have been visited, and why people are so interested in this topic. I also used my little green alien 👽 as a prop which was in keeping with the graphics on their intro piece. (audio)

NASAWatch on BBC World News: Artemis 1
NASAWatch on BBC World News: Artemis 1

Keith’s note: I appeared on BBC World News TV live at 9:00 pm EDT tonight to talk about the Artemis 1 mission. This audio file only has my answers – not the questions. Sorry ;-). If I get a full recording I’ll post that. Update: Rebecca Hagan in the UK sent me a full audio//video recording. You may hear her dog snoring in the background 😉 Artemis: NASA Moon mission […]
