Keith’s note: Ed Stone Got A Big Surprise on Colbert Report last night – but its not on the video. Colbert did a Sandra Bullock imitation from “Gravity” and presented Stone with the NASA Distinguished Service Medal.

Amazing! He got through his interview with Colbert with hardly a dig or a jab. A performance consistent with that of the two spacecraft.

Imagine our times without the Voyager missions. The Grand Tour of the out planets almost didn’t happen. It was scaled back by politicians. But they are willing to fund Shuttle, ISS, CxP/SLS/Orion burning $100s of Billions. What more could have been done by NASA with a better managed manned spaceflight program?

    Great interview!

Not a fan of the autoplaying video, though.

The auto-play is a huge pain in the tookus. Both videos crank up and start playing every time I visit NASAWatch.
