Reminder: Application DRP/VERA/VSIP Window Closes 25 July
You are now ending your dream job at NASA. Ad Astra. — Grok via NASAWatch.com

Keith’s note: the following memo went out to NASA employees today from Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO):

This HR Message is being delivered to you via HRMES On Behalf Of: Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO)

NASA employees,

The application window for NASA Deferred Resignation Program (DRP), Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA), and Voluntary Separation Incentive Payments (VSIP) will close on July 25, 2025, 11:59 p.m. ET. No applications for these programs will be accepted after the window closes. Additionally, all signed DRP agreements must be returned to your servicing human capital office by July 29, 2025.

Participation in the DRP, VERA, or VSIP is voluntary. Visit the NASA Deferred Resignation Program page and the NASA VERA and VSIP page for details, resources, and the answers to the most commonly asked questions.

To apply for the DRP, submit an application in the DRP Application tool. Employees who wish to apply for VERA or VSIP must apply in the My Buyout / Early Out tool (this is separate from the DRP application) to be considered. Employees requesting VERA must submit a Reservation to Retire in HRSC with a retirement date no later than Jan. 9, 2026.

I understand this is a very personal decision. NASA leadership and OCHCO are unable to make recommendations on whether an employee should elect to participate in these programs; please review the OneNASA pages carefully prior to making your decision.

Whether you choose to separate from NASA through one of these programs or chose to remain, thank you for your service to NASA.
