She’ll do what she’s instructed to do, else she would not be going. I would not expect her to sit out any exercises for cameras with political overtones that are ordered from Moscow just because of the mode of transport she took to get there. This NY Times article describes a situation on ships at sea that is analogous to that on ISS. Both types of vessel have a tradition of professionalism and respect. Perhaps we can leave it to the multinational ISS crew to work out how they communicate on these subjects and not try to corner them in public places, hampering their ability to speak freely with one another once on board. https://www.nytimes.com/202

It would be cool if once on orbit she asked to defect.

Yes she will support Russian aggression in Ukraine, she has to or her family could be threatened. Other cosmonauts have taken Gray Wolves patches to ISS, have supported Russian attacks on Ukraine. We should just hope that she doesn’t make political statements while she is on the Crew Dragon.

I expect she will do what she is told-by Moscow, not by NASA or the US government. NASA and the US government have no authority in the Russian territory (modules). Cosmonauts are often paid according to how well they carry out specifically assigned duties and their duties come from the Moscow Control Center. She may not even recognize that what she is doing is political.

I think asking her questions like “do you support the Russian invasion of the Ukraine ?” are pointless. Even “innocent” questions can get spun …
“How have you enjoyed your time of the ISS ?”
“Oh great … (assorted platitudes) and when we fly over the Ukraine I can see our valiant freedom fighters … “
Better I think to ignore her.
Presumably no Russian media invited to this ?
